Samsung has invested $40 billion in Texas
Samsung’s semiconductor manufacturing hub in the United States is located in Texas. The company has made significant investments in Texas and has recently chosen to build its new multi-billion-dollar chip factory in Taylor, Texas.
“With more than $40 billion invested in Texas and the creation of thousands of jobs, Samsung is the leading company in the future success of our great state,” said Governor Abbott.
“Today, we are here to celebrate the next phase of Samsung’s semiconductor facility in Taylor, a more than $16.6 million investment in the new Samsung Highway. This highway will serve as the gateway to the largest foreign direct investment project in Texas history. Texas is more dedicated than ever to the future of chips and Samsung in our great state. We are proud that the chips that run our future will be ‘Made in Texas’ by Samsung for generations to come.”
Samsung funded the highway
The combined construction expenses for these enhancements amounted to $39 million. Samsung contributed to the cost alongside the City of Taylor and the City of Hutto towards the project.
Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event rumoured to be held on July 10
In a separate news, Samsung is expected to host its next Unpacked event on July 10. ccording to The Chosun Daily – a South Korean publication, the event may take place on July 10 in Paris. At the July event, the company is expected to launch the next-generation of its foldable phones. This may include Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6. Samsung is also rumoured to bring the much-anticipated Galaxy Ring at the event along with the next-generation Galaxy Watch Series 7.
