One person was hospitalized following a fire at a mixed-use building in Bridgeport early Monday that displaced several people.Fire crews responded to the 1300 block of Stratford Avenue at 3:30 a.m. and found a building with commercial businesses on the first floor and apartments on the second ablaze, according to the Bridgeport Fire Department.A second alarm was activated for additional crews. The fire was brought under control after about 45 minutes, fire officials said.A resident of the building was taken to an area hospital for an unspecified injury, according to fire officials.No other injuries were reported.The American Red Cross is assisting four people who were displaced.The Bridgeport Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the blaze.
