Regulatory measures concerning generative AI in South America are still developing owing to the societies’ concern for enabling advanced innovative solutions while also maintaining ethical best practices in AI.
Companies in countries such as Brazil, Argentina, and Chile are already setting an example in the development of sustained best practices, which have centres on the principles of disclosure, responsibility, understanding of stakeholder’s needs, and ethical approaches.
There are still difficulties, but the future of Generative AI in South America is bright and based on the principles of globalization, public and private cooperation, and the principles of ethical AI. As the continent does so, it has an opportunity of defining the use of AI as a world pioneer in the proper usage of the new technologies.
