Bristol Public Schools will be closed Friday after a social media post described a threat of a school shooting at both high schools.Iris White, acting superintendent of Bristol Public Schools, sent a letter to district parents via ParentSquare on Thursday night regarding the threat against Bristol Central High School and Bristol Eastern High School.“Earlier this evening, BPS was alerted to a social media post describing the threat of a school shooting at both of our Bristol High Schools,” White said. “This information was forwarded to the Bristol Police Department for further investigation.“Out of an abundance of caution, Bristol Public Schools will be closed on Friday, September 20, 2024.
