Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, has expressed his concerns regarding the deeper integration of OpenAI’s ChatGPT on Apple devices such as iPhone, iPad, and Mac and warned of banning these devices at his companies due to security violations.
And visitors will have to check their Apple devices at the door, where they will be stored in a Faraday cage

In an X post, Musk wrote “If Apple integrates OpenAI at the OS level, then Apple devices will be banned at my companies. That is an unacceptable security violation.” This indicates that employees working at companies like X, Tesla, SpaceX, xAI, and more might no longer be able to use iPhones, iPads, and Macs at their office premises very soon.
The billionaire made the statement following Apple’s announcement that it is partnering with OpenAI, a move which according to Musk is a violation of data security.

Besides, Musk also mentioned that “visitors will have to check their Apple devices at the door, where they will be stored in a Faraday cage.” A Faraday cage is a shield or an enclosure that blocks all the digital signals from coming in or going out, including cellular signals and was invented by scientist Michael Faraday.
It’s patently absurd that Apple isn’t smart enough to make their own AI, yet is somehow capable of ensuring that OpenAI will protect your security & privacy!
Apple has no clue what’s actually going on once they hand your data over to OpenAI. They’re selling you down the river.

Musk in another post wrote “It’s patently absurd that Apple isn’t smart enough to make their own AI, yet is somehow capable of ensuring that OpenAI will protect your security & privacy!” and “Apple has no clue what’s actually going on once they hand your data over to OpenAI. They’re selling you down the river.”
Apple at the World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) announced “Apple Intelligence” with several on-device generative-AI capabilities, and the company also shared that it will be integrating GPT4o within Siri to offer an elevated chatbot experience on iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
While Musk isn’t happy about the deeper OS-level integration of ChatGPT on Apple devices, Apple says GPT4o-powered Siri and other first-party apps on iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia will ask permission each time to share your questions, photos, documents, presentations, or PDFs, and users will be able to access ChatGPT without creating an account.
According to Apple “the request and information will not be logged,” and paid ChatGPT users can connect their account to access premium features, and these features will be coming to select iPhones, iPads, and Macs later this year, and Apple also confirms that it will soon add support for other AI models in the future.
