Man arrested following K-9 search after allegedly sexually assaulting woman in CT park

A man has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a park in Killingly last week.Marc Kaczor, 36, of Dayville faces charges of fourth-degree sexual assault, second-degree unlawful restraint and second-degree breach of peace, according to Connecticut State Police.Kaczor was arrested Friday following an incident in Owen Bell Park on Town Farm Road, where troopers from Troop D and members of the Killingly Police Department responded on the report of a woman being inappropriately touched, state police said.The complainant said she was touched in a “sexual manner” by a man as she was walking in the park, according to state police. The woman was able to get a photograph of the man during the incident.State police said authorities conducted a K-9 track in search for the suspect, who had fled on foot before police arrived. A state police K-9 unit led investigators “directly to the suspect’s location,” where he was found wearing the same clothing as in the photograph, state police said.The suspect was identified as Kaczor, who was taken into custody and transported to Troop D in Danielson.He was held on $25,000 bond over the weekend and was expected to be arraigned Monday in Danielson Superior Court.
