Michelle Troconis pleads not guilty to contempt charge stemming from criminal trial

Michelle Troconis pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to a contempt of court charge stemming from the trial earlier this year that led to her being found guilty of multiple conspiracy and tampering charges in the 2019 disappearance and death of Jennifer Farber Dulos.Troconis, 49, entered the not guilty plea during a brief hearing in Stamford Superior Court, where her case was continued to Sept. 16, according to the clerk’s office.Troconis has been accused of displaying a sealed custody report on her laptop during her trial earlier this year in the death of Farber Dulos. The criminal contempt of court charge Troconis faces is a misdemeanor that carries a maximum of six months in jail.Troconis was sentenced to 14 ½ years in prison, followed by five years of probation, in May after a jury found her guilty of conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to commit tampering with evidence, second-degree hindering prosecution and two counts of tampering with evidence.During the trial, prosecutors showed video surveillance footage of Troconis’ then-boyfriend, Fotis Dulos, dumping evidence tied to Farber Dulos on Albany Avenue in Hartford.
