A moped driver was seriously injured in a crash in East Hartford late Tuesday.Officers received reports of the crash on Silver Lane just before 9:30 p.m. and responded to the area, according to Officer Marc Caruso of the East Hartford Police Department.Caruso said police learned that a Nissan and a moped driver were involved in a collision.The operator of the moped was taken to an area hospital and was listed in stable condition after suffering serious injuries.The Nissan driver suffered minor injuries and was also taken to the hospital. Caruso said the driver has been “fully cooperative with the investigation.”No charges have been filed.The police department’s Metro Crash Team responded to the scene and is still investigating the crash.
