Motorcyclist killed after colliding with motor vehicle in Bridgeport

A motorcyclist was killed after colliding with a motor vehicle in Bridgeport on Friday afternoon, police said.The Bridgeport Emergency Communications Center received a call around 4:06 p.m. reporting a motorcyclist vs. motor vehicle crash on in the area of Stratford  and Carroll Avenues, according to Tiadora Josef, director of communication for the City of Bridgeport.Emergency responders reported to the scene and transported the motorcyclist to an area hospital as well as evaluating the driver of the vehicle, Josef said.The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to Josef.The investigation into the crash is ongoing, Josef said.No further information was available.
