One person dies following fiery crash in Shelton

One person is dead after a fiery crash in Shelton on Sunday night.
Emergency crews responded to the area of Commerce Drive and Research Drive at 11:30 p.m. on the report of a car fire and found that the vehicle had caught on fire after a one-car crash, according to Det. Christopher Nugent of the Shelton Police Department.
Police and members of the Shelton Fire Department were able to pull a male out of the car before he was taken to Bridgeport Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Nugent said. His identity is being withheld until next of kin notifications can be made.
The crash remains under investigation by the Shelton Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team.
