Police identify victims of Bristol pedestrian crash following death of second victim

Police have identified the two pedestrians who died after being hit by a motor vehicle on Route 72 in Bristol during the early morning hours on Monday.The crash was reported around 4:14 a.m. in the area of Pine Street (Route 72) and Emmett Street, according to the Bristol Police Department.Officers from the patrol division administered life-saving measures until EMS arrived at the scene, police said.Both pedestrians were transported to area hospitals where one pedestrian, later identified as 37-year-old Fay Clarity was pronounced dead, according to police. The second pedestrian died on Tuesday, police said. He has been identified as 34-year-old Nicholas Cricco.The Bristol Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team responded to the scene to investigate the crash. According to police, the initial investigation showed that the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Pine Street and struck the two pedestrians, who appeared to have been within the crosswalk area.The driver, identified as a 25-year-old Bristol woman, remained at the scene and was cooperating with responding officers, police said. She was not injured in the crash.Route 72 and Emmett Street were closed during the investigation.
