Why do they bother? I can remember taking my young sons to a game with Maine at the old stadium on the Storrs campus, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.
UConn is a fine university with absolutely outstanding basketball, soccer, and baseball programs. Most schools would be envious.
Stop wasting the millions it takes to underwrite the football program.
Instead, go to Marrone Stadium and root for a team that has an excellent chance of winning.
